Job Summary
The Battery Pack Product Design team is responsible for the mechanical design and integration of battery packs into Apple this role you will design a battery pack optimizing across teams including outside vendors and internal experts to realize creative solutions and validate designs.
Creative problem solving including spatial reasoning optimization to find best solution to design challenges attention to detailnEngineering fundamentals are applied in design analysisnDesigns realized through tolerance analysis design for assembly/manufacturing design reviews and cross functional optimizationnCommunicate designs through detailed cross functional design reviewsnDrive failure analyses and design of experiments (DOEs) to develop design solutions and implement corrective actionsnRelease of drawings and revision controlsnTravel up to 20% throughout the year
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering or relatednExperience with 3D CAD
3 years relevant industry experiencenMasters degree or equivalent job-related experience in Mechanical Engineering or equivalentnAbility to generate innovative designs with multi-functional teams including detailed written specifications drawings and tolerance in Design for Manufacturability Design for Assembly or statistical tolerance analysis techniquesnClear and concise communication skills for technical status of projects cross functionally and throughout management structure. High degree of motivation curiosity and attention to detailnDemonstrated ability to deliver to product timelinesnExperience in design cycle from concept through MP with high-volume manufacturing processes and/or automation including design validation and characterization
