Position Summary
The Procurement Specialist supports the Universitys purchasing and sourcing operations by procuring goods and services in compliance with institutional policies public procurement regulations and best practices. The role collaborates with internal departments and suppliers to ensure cost-effective timely and compliant procurement activities.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Manage procurement and purchasing activities for goods and services.
Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
Conduct supplier sourcing evaluation and selection.
Support RFQ RFP and bid solicitation processes.
Negotiate pricing terms and vendor agreements.
Maintain procurement records and contract documentation.
Ensure compliance with university policies and applicable procurement regulations.
Coordinate with stakeholders to meet operational and project purchasing needs.
Monitor vendor performance and resolve procurement-related issues.
Assist with spend analysis reporting and process improvement initiatives.

Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP)
Preferred Experience
3 years of procurement purchasing sourcing or contract management experience.
Experience in Higher Education Government Public Sector or other regulated environments preferred.
Knowledge of public procurement and competitive bidding processes.
