Job Summary
As a Procurement Specialist at John W. Danforth Company you will have a direct impact on operations by ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials required for both shop and field teams. You will serve as a key liaison between vendors field personnel and internal departments to maintain efficient procurement processes and strong supplier relationships.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Enhance supplier performance to secure optimal pricing and delivery schedules.
Streamline requisition processing and oversee workflow to ensure timely and accurate order administration.
Confirm compliance with internal requirements to facilitate prompt and precise delivery to shop and field operations
Partner with internal teams to effectively forecast procurement needs and align supply with demand.
Assist warehouse operations with receiving documenting and fulfilling shop orders efficiently and accurately.
Address and resolve procurement issues including urgent project-related material needs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors field teams and internal stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with company policies quality standards and procurement best practices.
Qualifications
Associate or Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent hands-on industry experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems is highly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel); experience with Dynamics GP or Google tools preferred.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with vendors.
Strong analytical thinking problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrates professionalism integrity and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Geographic Disclosure
Compensation Range: $62500-$75000
Other Compensation: Bonus eligible
