Job Overview

The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing purchasing and procurement operations across all Bigge locations managing approximately $80MM in annual purchasing spend. This role reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager and manages 8 direct reports (Buyers and Expeditors) while partnering closely with Inventory Service and Operations teams to ensure timely cost-effective sourcing of parts materials services and equipment in support of shop and field operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead manage and develop procurement staff including Buyers and Expeditors.
• Oversee daily purchasing activities requisition review purchase order creation and order expediting.
• Partner with Inventory Service and Operations leadership to forecast demand

develop sourcing strategies reduce stock-outs and minimize excess inventory.

• Analyze purchasing data and drive cost-reduction initiatives.
• Track and report procurement performance against defined metrics including PO cycle time cost savings % and on-time delivery %.
• Resolve vendor quality pricing and delivery issues.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while negotiating pricing terms and delivery schedules.
• Establish supplier performance metrics and conduct regular reviews to improve service quality responsiveness and cost competitiveness
• Ensure compliance with company policies internal controls and procurement best practices.
• Lead procurement process improvement efforts through training technology and automation.

Requirements

• BachelorsdegreeinSupplyChainBusinessorrelatedfieldpreferred.
• 5yearsofprogressivepurchasingorprocurementexperience.
• Priorleadershiporsupervisoryexperiencerequired.
• Strongnegotiationanalyticalandproblem-solvingskills.
• ProficiencywithERPsystems (D365 preferred)andMicrosoftOffice(ExcelWordOutlook).
• Process-oriented mindset with demonstrated ability to establish standardizedprocurementproceduresimproveworkflowsandmaintain purchasing compliance.
• Knowledgeofconstructionand/ordiesel-poweredequipmentpreferred.
