Job Summary
The Opportunity:
The Procurement Buyer I is an entry-level role responsible for supporting the procurement of materials components and services required to meet production and program needs. This position works under general supervision and partners closely with Planning Engineering and Production to ensure timely material availability.
Responsibilities:
Create and manage purchase orders in the ERP system (Infor LN or equivalent).
Review MRP signals and support material replenishment activities.
Monitor open orders and follow up with suppliers on delivery status.
Assist in expediting material shortages to support production schedules.
Support price quote requests and basic negotiations under guidance.
Maintain accurate supplier and purchase order data.
Communicate material status updates to internal stakeholders.
Support compliance with company policies and government requirements (as applicable).
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3 years of experience in procurement supply chain or related field.
Basic understanding of ERP systems (Infor LN experience preferred).
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Desired:
Internship or prior experience in manufacturing or government contracting.
Familiarity with MRP concepts.
Exposure to supplier communication and order management.

Pay Range:
