Job Summary

The Part-Time Proctor supports the administration of academic placement certification and accommodated testing within the Learning Center. This position is responsible for maintaining testing integrity ensuring compliance with college policies and accommodation requirements providing excellent customer service to students and faculty and assisting with daily testing operations.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proctor academic placement certification and make-up examinations in accordance with established procedures.
  • Verify student identity and ensure compliance with testing regulations.
  • Monitor testing environments to maintain exam security and academic integrity.
  • Administer accommodated exams in accordance with approved student accommodations.
  • Document testing irregularities and report concerns to the Learning Center Coordinator.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student records and testing materials.
  • Provide basic troubleshooting assistance for testing software and technology.
  • Ensure exam instructions are accurately followed and documented.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year of customer service education administrative support testing or related experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates degree.
  • Experience in a college educational testing or customer service environment.
  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with accommodated testing practices and accessibility services.

Hours will be mainly in the mornings typically in the 8:00am -1:00 pm range. Total hours could vary from 10-20 in a week.

Pay rate: $19.00 / per hour
