Job Summary:**
Hitachi Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Process Engineering Manager to lead and optimize manufacturing processes within our organization. This role will be responsible for driving continuous improvement ensuring efficiency quality and cost-effectiveness across production lines.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Lead mentor and develop a team of process engineers fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
* Oversee the design development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and equipment.
* Analyze existing production processes to identify bottlenecks inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
* Develop and execute strategies for process optimization including lean manufacturing principles Six Sigma methodologies and automation.
* Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for process efficiency quality and cost.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D production quality assurance and maintenance to ensure seamless integration of process changes.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant safety environmental and quality regulations.
* Manage project timelines budgets and resources effectively.
* Generate comprehensive reports and presentations on process performance and improvement initiatives.
* Stay abreast of industry trends new technologies and best practices in process engineering.
Job Qualifications:**
* Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
* Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
* Proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements and achieving significant results.
* Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred).
* Experience with process simulation software and statistical analysis tools.
* Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
* Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Japanese is a plus.
