Process Engineer

Your Role: As a key player in our team you will be responsible for assessing and enhancing manufacturing operations ensuring quality cost and efficiency goals are met. Your role will involve collaborating with production teams to implement standardized processes while actively engaging in continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and improve product engineering and manufacturing bills of materials documentation and related process information.

• Develop manufacturing process routings that support efficient repeatable production.

• Improve manufacturing methods by applying knowledge of product design materials fabrication processes tooling equipment assembly methods and quality control standards.

• Drive continuous product quality improvement through lean manufacturing principles and practices.

• Reduce cost and cycle time while improving process reliability and consistency.

• Provide design recommendations for products and tooling to improve manufacturability and performance.

• Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and support data-driven process decisions.

• Analyze workforce utilization space requirements workflow and plant layouts to improve operational efficiency.

• Maintain work standards setup times and run times for manufacturing operations.

• Provide technical support to the Operations Manager for plant layout equipment purchase or upgrade decisions and feasibility assessments.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering preferred ideally Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

• Around 2 years of experience in production manufacturing; Plastic or Rubber industry experience is advantageous.

• 35 years of hands-on experience managing high-dollar strategic projects including new plant transformations and relocations.

• Proficiency in project management to ensure timely delivery of projects related to scrap & productivity goals product introduction OEE conversion cost and CAPEX projects.

• Technology-savvy with experience in automation digitalization procedures CAD assembly drawings Tooling Design Solid Works AutoCAD 2D ERP/CRM systems (SAP/ODEN is a plus).

• Expertise in managing CAPEX budget and capital projects.

• Analytical mindset with the ability to diagnose processes and equipment implementing sustainable solutions.

• Experience in data management document control and ISO process auditing.

• Strong leadership skills to train and coach peer employees.

• Experience with process scale-up process optimization cleaning and validation.

• Experience with equipment specification qualification and automation.

• Ability to lead small teams and projects. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Work is performed in both office and plant environments.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• May be exposed to weather noise and manufacturing conditions.

• Use of required personal protective equipment is expected in plant areas.

Our Offer:

The compensation for this position typically starts at 120000 annually.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills experience geographical location and internal equity. The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
