Our client a large industrial manufacturing organization is seeking a Process Control Lead to join their team in Clatskanie Oregon. What You Will Do
- Lead the Process Control Team and take accountability for converting control systems
- Develop the capability of individual team members
- Build partnerships with plant personnel to identify opportunities and solve problems
- Lead the development planning and execution of controls strategy across simultaneous projects and support activities
- Own execution of controls projects and initiatives including system design testing component specification documentation management vendor/contractor management equipment procurement installation and start-up support
- Provide process control support for controls optimization reliability and quality improvement initiatives cost reduction efforts capital projects and safety initiatives
- Prioritize resources toward plant strategies and opportunities with the highest value
Basic Qualifications
- Experience with process control systems including industry-standard PLCs
- Demonstrated experience and success leading process control staff in a manufacturing environment
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring visa sponsorship or transfer
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Pulp and Paper industry
- Experience with Texas Instrument Giddings & Lewis or Siemens PLCs
- Experience with control system network topology (e.g. Ethernet ControlNet and firewalls)
- Experience designing supporting and troubleshooting control systems
