Job Summary

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center is 420 bed teaching hospital trauma center neonatal intensive care unit geriatrics center and is home to theJohns Hopkins Burn Center the only adult burn trauma in Maryland. The Sterile Processing Tech inspects cleans assembles and sterilizes surgical instrument sets. Operates cleaning and sterilization equipment in order to clean instruments and supplies. Prepare supplies and equipment for steam sterilization and low temperature sterilization.

Minimum requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Requires TWO sterile processing certifications: CRCST or CBSPD and CER or CFER. Certifications must be issued through CBSPD HSPA or IAHCSMM.
  • Minimum three years instrument processing experience required. Must have demonstrated competence in all instrument set assembly and sterilization to include all specialties

Salary Range: Minimum 28.37/hour - Maximum 28.37/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
