PRN Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Radiology Director the Speech Language Pathologistis responsible for the provision of speech therapy services in the acute care outpatient andSkilled Nursing setting.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Has earned a Masters degree in Speech Language and maintain continuing education requirements inaccordance with state guidelines.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Recommend minimum 1 year hospital experience includingmodified barium swallow studies.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Must have Certificate of Clinical Competence and State of TexasLicense to practice Speech-Language Pathology. Basic LifeSupport certification through the American Heart Association
required. Valid Drivers license and reliable transportationnecessary as driving between campuses is required.
REQUIRED SKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
The Speech Language Pathologist must be able to diagnose treatand provide management services to patients with communicationdisorders including speech language voice fluency and literacydifficulties or patients with physical problems with eating orswallowing.
