Position Overview
The PRN Medication Pass Nurse will be responsible for safely administering medications monitoring patient responses and providing skilled nursing support during designated medication administration hours.
As a PRN Medication Pass Nurse heres a big-picture view of what youll do:
- Administer prescribed medications safely and accurately
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and medication effectiveness
- Maintain accurate medication administration records (MARs)
- Communicate patient concerns and changes in condition to appropriate team members
- Follow all nursing standards policies and regulatory requirements
- Provide compassionate patient-centered care
The proposed schedule for the PRN Medication Pass Nurse is as follows:
- PRN position
- 4-hour shifts - 11am to 3pm
- 3 days per week - Tuesday Wednesday and Thursdays

A few must-haves for our Medication Pass RNs:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current RN License in SC or compact license.
- Proficient computers skills and workplace software knowledge.
- Work with people function well under stress use clinical judgment be creative and accept challenges.
- Current CPR certification
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Medication administration experience preferred
- Valid drivers license and proof of insurance
