Were seeking a motivated detail-oriented RN to join our dynamic perianesthesia team on a PRN basis. Flexible shifts available MondayFriday between 6:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. with no nights weekends or call required!
At The Surgery Center of Fairbanks (SCF) we provide high-quality surgical care in a fast-paced team-oriented environment. We serve patients from across Interior Alaska and are nationally recognized for our excellence including Joint Commission accreditation and Disease-Specific Care Certification in Spine Surgery and Total Knee Replacement.

Key Responsibilities
Pre-Op:
Pre-Op:
- Perform patient assessments and pre-op education
- Obtain and review consents and test results
- Prepare patients physically and emotionally for surgery
- Maintain chart completeness and communicate findings with the care team
Post-Op/Recovery:
- Deliver individualized care in the immediate post-op period
- Monitor patient status and respond to complications
- Provide discharge education and follow-up care instructions
- Ensure documentation and coordination with the clinical team
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in Alaska (or ability to obtain)
- BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred
- Perianesthesia or PACU experience is a plus but were willing to train the right candidate

OUR FACILITY
The Surgery Center of Fairbanks opened on November 20 2010. Since then the facility has treated thousands of Interior Alaska residents with a wide range of health conditions. We specialize in outpatient surgery where surgical procedures are performed and patients are allowed to go home the same day. We are the only free-standing fully dedicated outpatient surgical facility in the Fairbanks area. We specialize in patient care using modern technology and digital electronic interfaces. We create an environment where the patient is our number one priority. We are owned and operated by Alaskans and we are your neighbors and friends. We understand the issues that face all Alaskans when they need surgery and we are proud to play a role if they require our services.
The Surgery Center of Fairbanks works with all health government programs such as Medicare Medicaid Denali Kidcare TriCare and the Veterans Administration. We accept all private insurance carriers and we guarantee to work with any patient to minimize the financial strain that some surgical procedures may require.
Most surgical specialties are performed at our facility: urology orthopedics ophthalmology neurosurgery general surgery ear nose and throat podiatry gynecology chronic pain procedures and gastroenterology. We have a fully dedicated pediatric procedure room for children to make their experience easier.
