We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN (as needed) basis at Oklahoma Heart Hospital South in Oklahoma City OK. This is an excellent opportunity to work in an acute care setting alongside an experienced interdisciplinary team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.

Position Summary

Under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will implement individualized treatment plans designed to help patients improve functional independence mobility activities of daily living and overall quality of life. The ideal candidate is a team player who demonstrates excellent clinical judgment strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy treatments as established by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Assist patients in improving functional mobility and independence with daily living activities.
  • Accurately document patient progress and treatment interventions in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians nurses therapists patients and family members.
  • Monitor patient responses to treatment and report changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Maintain compliance with all hospital policies state regulations and professional standards.
Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current Oklahoma Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing.
  • Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Acute care experience preferred but new graduates with strong clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent interpersonal organizational and documentation skills.
