Job Summary

Adelphi is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide private duty nursing services to students with documented health needs at school in Maryland. The ideal candidate will provide one-on-one nursing support to students who require continuous monitoring during the school day and school-sponsored activities.

Requirements:

Active Maryland RN license

Current CPR and First Aid certifications

Pediatric school nursing or private duty nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities:

Provide primary nursing care from student bus boarding through school dismissal when required

Remain available for the students health care needs and accompany the student as required

Administer medication and treatments according to the students Plan of Care

Provide care that may include catheterization tracheostomy care suctioning oxygen/ventilator care enteral feedings diabetic pump/CGM monitoring and other ordered treatments

Support students during field trips extracurricular activities outdoor education and ESY/summer programs as requested

Coordinate care with school staff and maintain required documentation

Any other duties as assigned within scope
