New team members receive hands-on training with experienced operators and subject matter experts while learning press operations troubleshooting techniques equipment maintenance and production processes. What Youll DoAs a Press Assistant youll support lithographic press operations and help ensure materials equipment and supplies are available to keep production moving include:Assist Press Operators during production runsStage and transport paper rolls inks coatings and production materialsSupport press setups changeovers and make-ready activitiesMonitor print quality and identify basic printing defectsRemove defective material and perform roll splicing according to specificationsHandle finished rolls and palletize products to prevent damagePerform basic preventative maintenance and equipment upkeepLubricate equipment and assist with troubleshooting production issuesOperate forklifts clamp trucks pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as neededRecord production information and complete required documentationSupport safety quality and productivity goals throughout the departmentThis position offers exposure to press operations machine troubleshooting quality systems and production workflows that prepare employees for future operator-level responsibilities.
