We are looking for an Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Specialist to drive the design development and implementation of the organizations EH&S programs. This role will focus on safeguarding employees and the environment while ensuring site compliance with all EH&S regulations and company requirements.

This position will be required to work onsite at our Goodrich Boulevard as well as Busch Drive facilities in Jacksonville FL.

What You Will Do

• Supports continuous improvement initiatives for EH&S to achieve andmaintaincomprehensive compliance and workplace safety
• Promotes the development and maintenance of new and current EH&S training programs
• Execute initiatives programs procedures reportspermitsand training across multiple EH&S disciplines asrequiredto achieve andmaintaincompliance
• Monitors local performance against EH&S regulatory requirements to achieve andmaintainconformance
• Supports business partners facilities and employee practices to achieve andmaintainunderstanding and compliance with EH&S regulations
• Contributes to required environmental regulatory reports and submissions to achieve andmaintainstandard documentation
• Assistsand develops materials for EH&S training and communications on subjects required by regulations such as confined space respiratory protection compressed gases electrical safety ergonomics etc. to achieve andmaintainthat procedures are understood and applied
• Manage relationships across other specialized departments to achieve andmaintaincompliance with EH&S regulations andCollinsrequirements
• Support EH&S compliance assurance audits by RTX Collins Aerospace or regulatory agencies for assigned programs
• Conduct workplace safety audits risk assessments and job hazard analyses
• Facilitate incident investigations and root cause analyses for environmental and safety events

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
• EHS Experience in a manufacturing environment

Qualifications We Prefer

• Current RCRA Hazardous Waste Management certification
• Degree in EHS related field
• Ergonomics certification (CPE CHFP AEP AHFP etc.)
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP)orCertifiedIndustrial Hygienist(CIH)credentials
• Industrial hygiene experience
• US DOT HAZMAT Ground Shipper
• Experience with MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint)
• Safety culture initiatives and Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) concepts

• Current Active Secret Clearance

The salary range for this role is 86800 USD - 165200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
