Capital Ones Enterprise Payments (EP) Debit Operations team within the Retail Bank is looking for a proactive self-motivated Principal Associate who excels in a team environment to drive the Debit Horizontal Management this role you will engage in a comprehensive oversight framework for Debit payment types encompassing strategy operations and risk management.

In this capacity you will perform governance and strategic management across all Debit payment channels. Working with key stakeholders you will deliver impactful results that refine Capital Ones Debit strategies. You will be pivotal in advancing our well-managed agenda utilizing technology to streamline initiatives mitigate risks and enhance the experience for both customers and associates.

As a Debit Horizontal team member you will be tasked with generating strategic insights and maintaining essential processes for Debit operations. Your responsibilities include governing Debit-related events and issues company-wide ensuring major risks are escalated to Senior Management for timely resolution. You will also foster connections with ecosystem partnersincluding Operations Initiation and Advisorsto establish routines for monitoring operational metrics controls and risks that inform critical leadership discussions.

In this role you will drive results by navigating formal and informal organizational channels and influencing stakeholders at all levels.

Key responsibilities include:

• Enterprise Partnerships: Collaborate with ecosystem partners (Advisors Operations Initiation) on routines and lead insightful discussions with leadership.
• Issue Resolution & Problem Solving: Serve as an inquisitive problem solver with a deep need to understand upstream and downstream impacts; leverage these skills to collaborate across teams and resolve Debit-related events.
• Operational Excellence: Accept full ownership to drive disciplined execution and continuous improvement across processes controls and operational practices to deliver consistent well-managed outcomes.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline or automate current monitoring processes thriving in undefined space and adapting to organizational change with vigor.
• Relationship Management: Demonstrate a proven ability to manage build networks and influence internal and third-party relationships with sound judgment and persistent drive.
• Risk Management: Ensure Debit payment issues are identified and documented with high attention to detail escalating major risks to Senior Management when necessary.

Location: This role is hybrid where you will be expected to spend 3 days per week working in the office and the remainder of the week working virtually.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma GED or equivalent certification
• At least 2 years of project or process management experience
• At least 1 year of banking operations or payments experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree or Military Experience
• At least 2 years of experience working with internal and external stakeholders
• At least 3 years of project or process management experience
• Six Sigma Lean BPM or PMP Certification

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Riverwoods IL: $98900 - $112900 for Principal Process Manager

McLean VA: $108900 - $124300 for Principal Process Manager

Richmond VA: $98900 - $112900 for Principal Process Manager

Wilmington DE: $98900 - $112900 for Principal Process Manager

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
