Responsibilities

• Designing developing and implementing APIs and microservices using technologies like Java Spring Boot and others.
• Understanding and applying microservices architecture patterns ensuring each service has a single responsibility and clear boundaries.
• Implementing robust security measures for APIs and microservices including authentication authorization and data protection.
• Working closely with cross-functional teams (architects product owners QA DevOps) to define requirements design solutions and ensure seamless integration.
• Monitoring the performance of APIs and microservices identifying and resolving issues and ensuring they are operational.
• Creating and maintaining clear and comprehensive documentation for APIs microservices and related processes.
• Implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate builds testing and deployments.

Skills and Qualifications

Experience with/in:

• Azure Cloud (APIM Azure Container Apps Azure SQL Key Vault ADLS/Blob Storage Azure Log Analytics Azure Functions).
• Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
• Java spring boot microservices
• Building API services using OAuth2 JWT API Keys or Mutual TLS
• DevOps tools using Git or CI/CD tools.
• OpenAPI / Swagger
• Maven Gradle
• JSON XML formats

Preferred:

• Azure Certification
• Experience integrating with external applications.
• High-Volume Real time Transaction Processing Platforms
• Functional knowledge on Banking/Fraud area.

Salary Range:

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension) health and welfare benefits (medical dental vision spending accounts and disability) paid time off parental and caregiver leave life & accident insurance and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
