The Principal Financial Analyst role will provide financial leadership and analytical support CST one of the largest OUs at Medtronic. Reporting to the CST FP&A Finance Director this position will support all management levels (including the Operating Unit President) regions and functions and be a critical point of contact for the extended CST finance team. The role will be responsible for helping coordinate global financial planning and reporting while also working to identify and drive process improvements and lead special projects as needed by the business.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Work closely with the CST FP&A Director and the extended CST Finance team on all key financial planning and reporting processes
Monitor system submissions for the consolidation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) Strategic Plan and other rolling forecast processes
Prepare and deliver consolidated financial reporting to leadership in a timely manner highlighting key metrics and providing actionable insights
Perform detailed ad hoc financial analysis at the direction of CST leadership to support strategic business decisions
Conduct headcount analysis and forecasting to ensure alignment with business goals project requirements and budgetary constraints
Leverage financial expertise and technical skills to drive continuous improvements in reporting and analytics including the use of MDTs automated systems such as OneStream and Power BI
Support the extended CST Finance team as needed including cost center planning system inquiries and other ad hoc financial deliverables
Lead or support special projects as assigned.
Perform all activities in compliance with the local Quality System.
Perform duties in compliance with environmental health and safety-related site rules policies and governmental regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Travel up to 15%.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelors Degree
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Nice to Have
Degree in Accounting Finance or Accounting
Prior experience within FP&A
Significant experience with Medtronic financial applications such as OneStream WWR PowerBI to be a subject matter expert within CST
Sound analytical skills ability to manipulate and interpret data for decision making
Strong executive communication (written & verbal) and prioritization skills
Ability to identify key trends and drivers with proven experience translating financial data into meaningful concise information and actionable insights
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a global team environment across various levels of management
Proven success performing in a high-pressure dynamic environment while managing tight time commitments
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
