We are looking for aPrincipalEquipmentEngineerto join our team in one of todays most exciting technologies. This role willreporttoEquipment Engineering Senior Managerand based inFremont CA. Thisis a fully on-site in office role.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Support equipment across various manufacturing lines with differing levels of complexity

  • Skilled in diagnosing and fixing manufacturing equipment

  • Automated Equipment

  • Provide support for equipment through PLC and HMI programming encompassing motion and servo control systems

  • Ability tomodifyexisting control logic to improve safetyperformanceor throughput

  • Participate in commissioning of new automated equipment and ensure all devices function as designed

  • Installationcommissioningand support of vision systems for tracking and quality inspections

  • Conducts engineering tasks in mechanical electrical and structural systems for testing material handling welding and machining equipment

  • Oversee equipment installation as well as start-up and implementation projects

  • Partner with Advanced ManufacturingEngineers tolead FAT equipment validation and production handover

  • Develop equipment specifications and documents for the manufacturing assemblytestingand material handling processes

  • Oversee project timelines financial planning and prepare comprehensive status reports for leadership

  • Work with vendors facility engineers manufacturing engineers and production teams to manage project implementation

  • Find ways to boost safety cut costs enhance efficiency and raise quality

  • Prepare or approve system as-built drawings

  • Willingness to work flexible hours including off shifts and weekends as required by business needs

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering or related engineering field.

  • Manufacturing or Equipment Engineer with7years experienceworking in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with robotics motion control pneumatics and machine vision systems.

  • Equipment requirement development and specification writing

  • Knowledge of ergonomic and machine safety standards

  • Knowledge ofAutocadSolidworksand MS Office suite

  • Strong communicationand collaboration skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in high-volume thin ceramics solarorbattery manufacturing is a plus

  • Experience in thermal equipment/process development and high-volume manufacturing integration.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand/walk for up to8-10hours per shift

  • Occasionally lift/carry up to 25lbs

  • Use hands and fingers tooperatemachinery controls and computers throughout the shift

  • Visual acuity sufficient for product inspection and reading digital/printed materials

  • Hearing ability to detect alarms and communicate effectively with staff

  • Ability to perform essential tasks with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in required areas (safety glasses safety-toed boots)
