Job Summary
Work Setting: In-person (All in office/field)
Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a Water/Wastewater project engineerfor our Rochester office. As part of our design and process teams you will work on water and wastewater projects including drinking water/wastewater/reuse treatment facility upgrades conveyance systems wellfields stormwater management water resources and asset management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Participation in the evaluation planning and design of water wastewater stormwater reuse and infrastructure projects
- Supporting proposal development.
- Mentor junior staff.
- Coordination and collaboration with clients.
- Coordination with internal technical specialists in all practice areas and discipline design professionals for project delivery.
- Supporting projects to meet client expectations budgets and quality requirements.
- Following internal Hazen processes to ensure quality delivery of engineering projects for clients.
- Technical responsibility for interpreting organizing executing and coordinating assignments on small to medium projects.
- Performing planning studies design and support of projects through design construction and operation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in environmental civil chemical or mechanical engineering
- PE license
- 5-12 years of experience in planning design or construction of water-related projects
- Excellent communication skills self-motivation organization and attention to detail
- Experience related to preparing conceptual/feasibility studies development of construction drawings and specifications bidding assistance and support of office and field-related construction services
- Familiarity with engineering and construction management software
- Capable of supervising staff and managing small projects
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate) in environmental civil chemical or mechanical engineering
- Proficiency in GIS Bluebeam CAD/BIM BioWin PowerBI and databases
