As NTH continues to grow we are looking to hire a Project Director to help anchor and build our newly formed Electrical Engineering Division. This role serves as the divisions lead for renewable and major private-sector electrical projects complementing our municipal-focused leadership and expanding NTHs presence in utility-scale and industrial markets. Specific focus areas are expected to be BESS Solar Green-site electric substations and other large-high profile electrical design projects. With offices in Northville Detroit East Lansing Grand Rapids and a lab and equipment office in Livonia we are positioned to expand our services and client portfolio to align with the companys strategic plan.

How You Will Make An Impact
- Lead large complex or high-profile projects serve as the trusted advisor for clients and drive growth opportunities across our markets.
- Function as a client lead and primary point of contact with clients on projects.
- Lead client acquisition and account growth including developing new client relationships expanding existing accounts and converting opportunities into secured work.
- Support project managers and ensure the highest level of quality on project deliverables and client services.
- Partner with our Director of Electrical Engineering and Market Directors to position NTH for growth and provide the services needed to this market.
- As a Project Director manage all aspects of a project including financial and technical components.
- Serve as a senior technical authority in electrical power systems providing guidance on system design interconnection protection and constructability across projects.
- Conduct periodic site / client visits project and business development meetings.
- Assist in recruiting and developing new professionals.
- Understanding of current and upcoming regulations and customer trends affecting NTHs clients.
- Assist in developing business strategies and action plans for creating growth opportunities.
- Partner with the Director of Electrical Engineering to develop and build the electrical engineering division.
What You Bring to The Team
- Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a 4-year accredited college or university.
- Professional registration in Michigan or the ability to attain reciprocity.
- 15 years of experience of demonstrated leadership experience providing technical solutions to electrical power challenges and with relevant experience as a consultant client advocate and/or account manager within the industry.
- Design experience and expertise in BESS Solar and/or Electric Substations
- Field experience in renewables or electric substations preferred.
- Ability to organize technical material into comprehensive reports and perform QA/QC reviews on work product.
- Demonstrated ability managing large complex electrical projects ($1M engineering scope or multi-million-dollar construction projects).
- Deep experience with project planning budgeting delegation and management to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Experience negotiating project scope and fees with clients.
- Experience advocating for clients with equipment manufactures and construction contractors
- Demonstrated ability to seek and establish new clients and build good business relations with both new and existing clients.
- Experience leading and growing a team of diverse professionals.
- Accuracy dependability and strong organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects at any given time.
- Must have strong written and oral communication skills be able to work in a team environment as well as independently demonstrate collaborative approach to problem-solving and have ability to interact with clients to understand their needs.
- Must hold a valid drivers license and be willing to travel to and conduct field work at job sites/offices in Michigan.
- May be required to perform job duties in the field and office during non-standard work hours as necessary.
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
