Principal Electrical Designer

What you will bring

Technical and Industry Experience:

• Minimum of 8 years of electrical design experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Proficient with electronic PDF markup tools such as Bluebeam and/or PDF-XChange Pro.

Required:

• Technical Diploma required.

Preferred:

• Proficient with AutoCAD and MicroStation.

Purpose

You will demonstrate a strong understanding and practical application of electrical technical principles theories and concepts for onshore industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs for lighting power distribution cable tray grounding systems and electrical building arrangements.
• Apply applicable electrical codes industry standards and client specifications to onshore facility design.
• Maintain general knowledge of related engineering disciplines and coordinate effectively across discipline interfaces.
• Design and modify facility components electrical rooms buildings equipment layouts and associated electrical systems to develop new designs or improve existing designs.
• Provide solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems under general direction while proactively taking ownership of assigned work and outcomes.
• Identify required deliverables and support planning scheduling and status reporting for those deliverables.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of internal management and work professionally with client representatives.
