Job Description

Join Micron as a Principal CAD Engineer/Manager in Boise ID and play a pivotal role in crafting the future of memory and semiconductor technologies! This outstanding opportunity lets you lead and innovate within a team of highly skilled engineers focused on developing flawless and world-class solutions that advance the industry.

Responsibilities

In the role of Principal CAD Engineer/Manager you will:

• Lead the building and development of advanced CAD tools and methodologies.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to successfully implement and integrate CAD solutions.
• Determine and establish CAD build standards and guidelines.
• Mentor and guide engineers encouraging an inclusive and collaborative environment.
• Benchmark internal capabilities against industry standards to ensure competitive performance.
• Coordinate the maintenance and improvement of existing CAD tools to ensure flawless operation.

Minimum Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need:

• A Bachelors or higher degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in CAD tool development and management.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor build and processes.
• Outstanding problem-solving abilities and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a diverse group.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C.

Preferred Qualifications

We highly value candidates with:

• Experience in managing CAD projects from concept through implementation.
• Experience with commonly used CAD tools and software in the industry.
• A track record of mentoring and developing engineers early in their careers.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts.
• Experience with DRAM or NAND device development.
