Role: Principal Azure Engineer (Platform & Delivery)

Client: UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Rate: $60/hr on C2C.

Location: Dallas TX (Hybrid 3 days onsite) Local
Duration: 12 Month Contract (Potential for fulltime conversion)

Visa: USC Only.

Candidate must active LinkedIn.

What Youll Do

Lead end-to-end Azure initiatives (design build deployment handoff)

Serve as the technical lead when no PM is assigned

Design scalable high-availability Azure architectures (networking storage identity compute)

Drive cloud migration & modernization efforts

Implement governance RBAC and security controls (Defender for Cloud Azure Policy)

Optimize CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps GitHub Actions)

Coordinate across infra security networking & app teams

Mentor engineers and establish best practices

Required Skills

Deep Azure infrastructure experience (VMs AKS VNETs NSGs Entra ID)

Strong IaC experience (Terraform ARM templates)

Azure networking architecture expertise

Experience with enterprise cloud migrations

Monitoring & observability implementation

Ability to lead/influence without formal authority

Nice to Have

Experience in regulated environments (HIPAA SOC2 HITRUST etc.)

Azure Cost Management / FinOps exposure

ITSM knowledge

Qualifications

10 years IT experience

5 years in senior/principal Azure engineering roles

Proven experience leading enterprise-scale Azure initiatives
