Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development implementation and management of prime contract action plan/matrix to ensure proper and timely compliance by Austin with prime contract administrative obligations.
- Prepare notices and related follow-up documentation to Owner for issuance by Project Director for events and circumstances as required by the prime contract including tracking related timelines.
- Support and solicit input from applicable Project Managers and subcontractors for data including cost and schedule information in support of communications required by the prime contract.
- Receive and review correspondence from Owner and in coordination with Project Director assign actions related thereto to other project team members and monitor to ensure timely responses are issued to Owner when warranted.
- Attend progress review meetings including OAC and change management meetings and publish meeting minutes and ensure action items therein are timely addressed by delegated project team members.
- Assist with assembling and production of progress reports for Owner and other administrative submittals as requested by Project Director.
- Maintain and manage Project RFI and PCO logs including distribution to appropriate team members and ensuring timely responses and input are provided from project team members.
- Assist with preparation and review of change orders and responding to work change directives.
- Assist project team in coordination with Risk Management and Legal personnel with development of appropriate prime contract flowdown provisions for inclusion in subcontracts.
- Assist with facilitating timely prime contract close-out confirming that all commercial documentary and technical requirements are met or reconciled as required by prime contract.
- Provide guidance on contract interpretation to Project Director in coordination with Risk Management and Legal personnel.
- Work closely with project team members to ensure understanding of key risks of project.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
- Develop and teach training classes regarding contractual terms and conditions.
- Engage regularly with Risk Management and Legal personnel to maintain collaborative team relationship.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Project Director.
Qualifications:
- A Juris Doctor Degree is required for this position
- At least 5 years experience with post award contract administration in construction or similar industry.
- Superior written and oral communication and people management skills.
- Ability to work independently efficiently and proactively on multiple tasks under tight deadlines while maintaining a commitment to quality.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to develop effective relationships with key internal and external project stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt and adjust to multiple demands and competing priorities.
- Excellent analytical organizational and management skills.
- Proficiency in standard operations and communication software (Microsoft Office Suite Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint).
