Sign-On and Relocation Bonus Available

This position is eligible for a$500 sign-on bonus; 50% paid after 30 days and 50% paid after 6 months of addition candidates relocating from more than 50 miles from the Red Bud IL facility are eligible for a $5000 relocation bonus to help cover moving expenses. Employees must remain employed for 12 months to retain the relocation bonus.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to thePipe ShopTeam Leader the Pressure Testing Technician willtest tanks fittings pipes and similar objects to detect and locate leaks using compressed air or waterpressure:installs fittings onobjectto seal outlets and connectsobjectto high pressure air or water line using hand tools.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Test required componentsutilizingtheappropriate valvesand processesper drawing specificationsin accordance withtesting procedure.
• Observes gauge for loss of pressure indicative ofleaks andexaminesobjectfor escaping air or water to detect leaks.
• Marks objectatsource of leak forsubsequentrepair.
• May apply soapsolutionto surface of object or immerse object tofacilitatelocation of air leaks.
• May testobjectunder high pressure to ensure compliance with product safety ratings.
• Record testing data on ISOs or otherprovideddocuments.
• Maintain all gaugeschartsand other related equipment to ensure proper calibration.
• Recognize set up andoperatehand and power toolsas.
• Safelyoperateforkliftand overhead crane.
• Regularattendancein accordance withthe attendance policy.
• Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and workin accordance withestablishedsafetyand companyrequirements.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITY/ EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. ispreferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experienceusing hand toolsis.
• Abilityto learn to readblue prints ISOs and other technical documentsis.
• Experience operating forklift and overhead crane preferred.
• Must be detail oriented.
• At least(1) yearofmanufacturing or industrialexperience is strongly preferred.
• Basicmath skillsandproblem solvingskills are.
• High levelof energy andmotivation.
• Ability to work flexible hours including but not limited to frequent and mandatory overtime and weekends are.
• Mustpossessthe ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel both hourly and management in a team environment.
