Preschool Teacher

Lifesteps a local non-profit agency in Butler PAis currently hiring a full-time (12 month) Preschool Teacher who will work Monday through Friday daylight hours to prepare children for kindergarten. Normal hours are 8 am until 5 pm at our childcare center. We will consider part-time hours for the preschool teacher role as well.

This preschool teacher position will assist in the classroom with lesson planning scheduling and daily activities. The Preschool Teacher is responsible for providing a quality-driven developmentally-appropriate early education experience that supports all children regardless of their diverse abilities.

This position will also serve in the capacity of Assistant Group Supervisor (AGS child care staff) as needed to meet ratio in a particular classroom and float throughout the different preschool classrooms if needed in Butler center.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education OR
• Bachelors degree in Elementary Education Human Services Psychology Social Work Special Education Family Studies History Art Therapy or a Related Field AND ability to obtain Private Academic License through the PA Dept of Education
• Previous experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years is preferred - such as Teacher Aide Classroom Aide Child Care Assistant Paraprofessional etc.
• Valid Drivers License and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Clearances required
