Preschool Teacher - Shepherds Flock Preschool

$22.50/hour. Full-time rotating between 7:00 AM-3:00 PM and 10:00 AM-6:00 PM. Teach in an award-winning intergenerational preschool where your classroom connects children with older adults every week.

Shepherds Flock Preschool sits on the campus of Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights. As a Preschool Teacher here youll lead a classroom of children ages 3.5-5 with regular intergenerational programming that brings your students together with residents a setting we havent found at any other preschool in this market.

What youll do

• Lead a nurturing engaging classroom for children ages 3.5-5
• Deliver a well-rounded developmentally appropriate educational experience
• Support each childs growth through intentional interaction care and guidance
• Lead and participate in intergenerational programming with older adults
• Maintain a safe organized and welcoming classroom
• Build positive relationships with children families and fellow team members

What youll need

Required:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• At least a two-year degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field including coursework in Human Growth and Development Lifespan Development or similar
• Illinois Gateways ECE Credential Level 3 completed or willingness to obtain after hire

Preferred:

• 1-3 years of early childhood education or childcare experience

Schedule
