Job Summary: The Preschool Paraprofessional provides support for the Preschool Academy program by assisting with the supervision care and instructional support of preschool-aged children. The paraprofessional works collaboratively with the Preschool Academy teacher to ensure a safe nurturing and developmentally appropriate learning environment while supporting the unique needs of both preschool students and high school students participating in the Education Pathway program.
Applicants must be Highly Qualified as defined by federal standards which requires either two completed years of study at an institution of higher education an associates (or higher) degree or PDE Highly Qualified certification (Paraeducator Credential of Competency). CPR and First Aid certifications are required however CPR and First Aid training can be provided.
