Working for our team you can truly make a Prepress & Color Review Specialist plays a critical role in the intake and preparation of incoming artwork for production. This position combines preflighting (FTP) and color review into a single specialized function ensuring that artwork enters the production workflow in a production-ready the earliest stage of the process incoming files are analyzed for technical structure color build and print feasibility. This early intervention ensures fast accurate feedback to internal teams and customers minimizes rework and supports efficient production work at MCC:Compensation: $31.25 hourlyGenerous benefits package including medical dental vision disability life insurance and 401(k)Paid Holidays: New Years Memorial Day Fourth of July Labor Day Thanksgiving Day after Thanksgiving Christmas Eve Christmas Day plus two floating holidaysResponsibilities:Artwork Intake & Preflighting (FTP)Receive review and onboard incoming artwork files into the production systemPerform technical preflight checksEnsure files meet internal standards before entering the workflowProvide timely and accurate feedback to Internal Sales customers or Prepress teamsColor Review & OptimizationAnalyze color builds (CMYK RGB spot colors) and assess compatibility with printing processesEvaluate whether color construction supports stable and repeatable print resultsProvide clear actionable feedback to Internal Sales (customer communication)Recommend adjustments to improve print stability and consistencyCompare new files with existing artwork to ensure consistency and standardizationProcess Ownership & Quality GateAct as the primary quality gate at the artwork intake stageIdentify issues early to avoid downstream rework delays and production inefficienciesEnsure fast turnaround of feedback to maintain short lead timesBuild knowledge of recurring issues and customer-specific requirementsGlobal Collaboration & SupportWork closely with global prepress color management and production teamsSupport local US operations while contributing to a standardized global modelProvide guidance and training to internal teams to increase technical autonomyCross-site collaboration (US Belgium Turkey Brazil etc.)Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Graphic Design Print Technology or equivalent experienceProven experience in prepress artwork preparation or print productionRecommended knowledge of:Color management principlesPrinting processes (offset / packaging / labels preferred)File preparation and preflight toolsRole PositioningThis is a specialist role with high impact on production quality and efficiencyServes as the first technical checkpoint in the production processKey contributor to a global time zone-driven prepress model#APPCAST
