Pre-OpPACU Nurse Manager

Job Summary
- Supervise PreOp and PACU nursing staff including scheduling performance evaluations coaching and training
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet patient volume and acuity
- Facilitate effective communication among surgical team members patients and families
- Participate in management meetings strategic planning and policy development
- Oversee nursing assessments interventions and documentation to ensure compliance with standards of care
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgeons to ensure safe and efficient patient flow
- Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols
- Maintain current knowledge of evidence-based practices in perioperative nursing
- Monitor patient outcomes incidents and quality metrics; implement performance improvement initiatives as needed
- Ensure compliance with CMS AAAHC OSHA HIPAA and state regulations
- Maintain accurate records and participate in audits and inspections
- Participate in recruitment onboarding and retention of qualified nursing staff
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- PALS and BLS certifications (required)
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to prioritize delegate and manage time effectively
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and safety standards for ASCs
- Basic Computer Skills
- Fast-paced outpatient surgical environment
- May require occasional extended hours depending on case volume
- Physically able to stand for long periods and assist in patient transfers
