POSITION TITLE:
Pre- K Paraprofessional
POSITION LOCATION: SIDNEY DEENER
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must hold an Associates Degree or have passed the Paraprofessional Praxis Exam.
EVALUATION-Paraprofessionals will be evaluated by the Pre-K Director and/or the Pre-K Classroom Teacher.
REPORTS TO:Pre-K Teacher/Pre-K Director/Principal
Nature of work:Assisting the classroom teacher in creating an inviting learning environment which fosters the personal growth of preschool children; nutures attitudes skills and knowledge necessary for future success in school; helps to build ties between home and school.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Provides an inviting learning environment.
- Helps teachers with managing groups in a classroom setting.
- Displays a passion for preschool children and helping them become successful educationally.
- Assisting in the day to day activities of the classroom.
- Assisting in the check-in check-out and lunch prodedures
- Following all school processes and protocols.
- Other duties as assigned.
