Pre-Engineer Kitchen Suppression Technician

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Install inspect test and repair pre-engineered systems per NFPA and manufacturer specifications.

• Replace/charge agents service cylinders/cartridges and verify detection and actuation.

• Identify deficiencies and perform corrective actions; ensure AHJ compliance.

• Read and apply manufacturer manuals and service bulletins.

• Complete accurate inspection reports deficiency lists and close-out documentation.

• Communicate system condition and recommendations to customers.

• Maintain tools equipment and service vehicles.

• Maintain a clean and safe workspace; follow all safety procedures.

• Respond to emergency service calls.

• Use of hand tools and testing equipment.

• Travel to job sites as required.

• Other duties as assigned by management.

Education/Qualification:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 2 years of experience in fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician preferred

• NICET Level I or above preferred.

• Working knowledge of NFPA 17/17A/96 and manufacturer requirements.

• Must have a clean driving record and active drivers license if driving role.

• Strong understanding of pre-engineered systems practices and applicable codes.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently.

• Must be a self-starter.

• Must be well-spoken and eager to learn.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting climbing ladders and working in various environments.

• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

• Work performed in commercial industrial and construction environments.

• Exposure to varying conditions including heights confined spaces and active job sites.

• Ability to stand walk bend and work for extended periods.

Other Duties:

• Adheres to Pye-Barker Fire & Safety policies safety standards and code of conduct.

Pay:

• $20 per hour plus Commission.

• Weekly pay.
