Job Summary

Cook Ford is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Technician to join our growing team! This role is responsible for inspecting incoming new vehicle inventory from the factory and ensuring each vehicle is mechanically sound fully functional and cosmetically ready before delivery to our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-delivery inspections on incoming new vehicle inventory according to manufacturer and dealership standards
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical electrical and cosmetic concerns prior to customer delivery
  • Install factory accessories and perform software updates as needed
  • Check fluid levels tire pressures battery condition and overall vehicle operation
  • Ensure all features and systems are functioning properly
  • Identify and report any transport damage or defects
  • Coordinate with Service Parts and Sales departments to ensure vehicles are delivery-ready on schedule
  • Maintain accurate inspection and repair documentation
  • Keep work area clean organized and safe
Qualifications
  • Automotive technician or dealership experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and diagnostic ability
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer and tablet proficiency
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record
  • Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred
