Starting Compensation:

19.00 - 19.70 USD Per Hour

Working Location:

San Jose: South San Jose Center ( In-person position )

Working Hours/Shift:

Part-Time 16 hours per week

What you bring to SBHG (qualifications):

Education:

  • Enrolled in an accredited BA BS program in the mental health field

License:

  • A valid California Drivers License and current automobile insurance with a driving record that consistently meets the agencys eligibility policy.

How you will make a difference (job overview):

The Support Counselor Trainee is responsible for working with children in placement to provide a large variety of services ranging from behavior management crisis intervention self-help skill building and other services as needed to provide whatever it takes to make a successful placement for the child. The Support Counselor Trainee works under the supervision of the TBS Coordinator and is a part of the childs treatment team.
