The N.C. Department of Information Technology (NCDIT) serves as the Technology Center for the State of NC. Description of Work
Salary Range: $81504 - $122256The position is designated Statutory Exempt (EHRA) and is exempt from the State Human Resources Act.
This position may be eligible for hybrid remote work in accordance with state policy and the agencys remote work program but does require weekly onsite work.

We currently have an opening for a Power Platform Developer.
This role will be responsible for the end-to-end development administration and support of business applications and automated workflows. You will collaborate directly with internal divisions to translate complex business needs into high-performing well-architected solutions using the full suite of Microsoft Power Platform tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Design build and maintain custom business applications using Canvas Apps Model-Driven Apps and Power Pages.
Create and manage sophisticated workflows using Power Automate to streamline internal processes and data movement.
Develop and deploy conversational AI and chat solutions using Copilot Studio.
Manage the onboarding of new solutions and provide ongoing support for existing ones. Handle the import/export of solutions environment management and deployment cycles.
About the Division:
The Department of Information Technology Enterprise Collaboration Services (DIT ECS) teams mission is to provide enterprise-level communication and collaboration services that improve the productivity and efficiency for the workforce in state government and other authorized government and public-sector entities with our core clientele being state Executive Branch agencies. More than 65000 public servants rely on our enterprise-level communication and collaboration capabilities through our Microsoft 365 core cloud services including Exchange Online Email SharePoint OneDrive Teams and Power Platform. Customers also rely on our ability to manage their data Security and Compliance through Defender Purview and eDiscovery services. DIT ECS makes ongoing improvements through modernization and lifecycle management to keep up with technological changes and our customers business and operational needs enabling them to serve their constituents more effectively and efficiently.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
The following Management Preferences are not required but applicants that possess these skills are preferred:
Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft Power Platform toolssuch as Canvas Apps Model-Driven Apps Power Automate or Power Pageswith exposure through coursework internships or hands-on projects.
Demonstrated understanding of business needs and contribution to simple technical designs or solution outlines that support those requirements.
Demonstrated knowledge of how solutions are built tested and deployed with an interest in learning Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) practices for the Power Platform.
Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in computer science or an IT related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in business application consulting or development
OR
Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in application consulting or development
OR
High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and six years of experience in business application consulting or development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
