Position Summary
The Leuthner Lab at Indiana University (The ONeill School of Public and Environmental Affairs) seeks a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join an interdisciplinary research program in environmental genomics. The postdoctoral researcher will have flexibility to define their own research agenda but a successful candidate will be broadly interested in contributing to projects investigating gene-environment interactions chemical susceptibility and effects of exposure on evolutionary processes with a focus on emerging contaminants such as PFAS . Research integrates Caenorhabditis elegans (C. elegans ) as a model system with approaches including: Quantitative genetics ( GWAS / QTL mapping) High-throughput phenotyping RNA -seq and multi-omics integration Functional genomics (e.g. RNAi transgenics) The postdoctoral scholar will have opportunities to lead independent projects mentor undergraduate researchers and contribute to grant writing and publications.
