ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• The attendants on the belt perform the following tasks:

  • One attendant sorts large pieces consisting of bath blankets flat sheets draw sheets and thermals.

  • The second and third attendant sorts the second largest pieces underpants patient gowns and fitted sheets.

  • The fourth and fifth attendant will handle all the rest of the pieces such as bath towels washcloths hand towels and scrubs.

• Adhere to quality standards in terms of soil sorting and cart cleaning.

• Understand observe and adhere to all safety procedures and policies.

• Assist and perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Ability to work in a noisy fast-paced environment.

• Ability to stand walk bend stoop twist reach and stack individual items from the machine for long periods.

• Demonstrated customer service and organization skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred:

• High School Education GED and formal education/training

• 1 to 2 years of experience in the health care manufacturing or similarly situated industries.

Physical Requirements:

• Physical Demands consist of standing walking reaching overhead bending twisting pushing pulling grasping lifting 50 lbs. or more and stooping.

• Physical Requirements consist of being able to meet the physical demands for the entire 10 hour shift.
