Senior Estimator

Long-Term Contract Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to support a major long-term project at Arnold Air Force Base in Tullahoma Tennessee. This position offers the opportunity to work on large-scale engineering and construction projects supporting critical federal infrastructure programs.

Position Summary

The Senior Estimator is responsible for leading the development of accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for large and complex projects. This role works closely with engineering procurement construction and project management teams to ensure estimates align with project scope schedule and budget requirements while identifying project risks and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development of detailed and conceptual project cost estimates.

Prepare estimates for labor materials equipment subcontractors and indirect costs.

Coordinate with engineering procurement construction and project teams to gather and validate project information.

Develop and maintain Basis of Estimate documentation.

Perform risk assessments and incorporate appropriate contingencies into project estimates.

Review drawings specifications schedules and scope documents to ensure estimate accuracy.

Present estimates to project leadership and client stakeholders.

Mentor and support junior estimators while reviewing their work for quality and accuracy.

Continuously improve estimating processes procedures and methodologies.

Qualifications

7 years of experience in construction cost estimating.

Strong understanding of construction engineering and project management principles.

Experience developing conceptual preliminary and detailed estimates.

Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills.

Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proven ability to lead teams manage multiple priorities and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

In-depth knowledge of construction industry practices market conditions pricing strategies and risk assessment.

Preferred Experience

Large industrial manufacturing aerospace defense pharmaceutical life sciences energy or infrastructure projects.

Federal or Department of Defense project experience.

Experience supporting EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) projects.
