Job Summary
The Wang Lab is recruiting a postdoctoral research associate with expertise in computational genomics and bioinformatics focusing on long-read sequencing analysis. The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing NIH -funded research analyzing nanopore DNA and RNA sequencing in the context of variant calling and analysis to support molecular diagnostics in pediatric cancer. A primary focus will be development of novel informatics tools for multi-scale variant calling integration and interpretation of variants in nanopore DNA sequencing including SNVs CNVs SVs and epigenomic markers.
Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Demonstrated expertise in computational analysis of long-read sequencing data (ex. ONT Pacbio) including variant calling ( SNV copy-number profiling structural variation) quality control and interpretation of germline and somatic variants.
Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
1 year of experience in computational genomics and molecular diagnostics. Microbiome/metagenomic sequencing analysis experience is a plus.
