Positive Support Leader (PBS-L)

As a Positive Behavior Support Leader (PBS-L) at Rivermont Schools you will provide leadership and support to Mental Health Associates and staff to ensure consistent high-quality behavioral interventions across the school. You will guide teams in implementing positive behavior support strategies analyzing data and fostering a safe therapeutic learning environment for every student.

What Youll Need

• High school diploma or equivalent

• At least two years of experience working with children or adolescents with behavioral or emotional disabilities

• Training or familiarity with Positive Behavior Support (PBS) and data-driven intervention practices

• Strong communication leadership and coaching skills to guide staff in behavior management

• Valid Virginia drivers license

What Youll Do

• Mentor and coach Mental Health Associates in implementing effective behavior intervention strategies

• Lead and debrief serious behavior incidents to ensure consistent reporting and response practices

• Collect analyze and share behavioral data to guide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) implementation

• Support staff training and development in behavior management and crisis intervention techniques

• Promote a positive safe and supportive school culture through proactive leadership and collaboration
