As a Positive Behavior Support Leader (PBS-L) at Rivermont Schools you will provide leadership and support to Mental Health Associates and staff to ensure consistent high-quality behavioral interventions across the school. You will guide teams in implementing positive behavior support strategies analyzing data and fostering a safe therapeutic learning environment for every student.
What Youll Need
High school diploma or equivalent
At least two years of experience working with children or adolescents with behavioral or emotional disabilities
Training or familiarity with Positive Behavior Support (PBS) and data-driven intervention practices
Strong communication leadership and coaching skills to guide staff in behavior management
Valid Virginia drivers license
What Youll Do
Mentor and coach Mental Health Associates in implementing effective behavior intervention strategies
Lead and debrief serious behavior incidents to ensure consistent reporting and response practices
Collect analyze and share behavioral data to guide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) implementation
Support staff training and development in behavior management and crisis intervention techniques
Promote a positive safe and supportive school culture through proactive leadership and collaboration
