Position Sensing Systems Engineer

Youll collaborate with teams across Apple to research design develop test and qualify camera hardware for Apple products. Together well craft a magical photography experience that redefines what millions of customers can expect from their cameras.

The Camera Systems Engineering Group is responsible for the systems-level analysis design and development of new camera features and technologies for performance enhancement. The team is seeking an exceptional position sensing systems engineer with broad skills to lead product and technology development projects.

Define position sensing system architectures use-case requirements specifications and validation criteria and document in Engineering Requirements and model position sensing systems behaviorally to predict performance over nominal sensitivity and Monte-Carlo analyses.u2028nPerform/champion sensing system engineering validation with partner teams.u2028nContribute to development implementation and maintenance of test and calibration codebase for sensing systems

B.S. in EE ECE Engineering Physics or similar and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry with magnetic or optical sensing with mixed-signal electronics and/or signal with measurement science calibration or physical with Matlab or Python

PhD in EE ECE Engineering Physics or applying systems engineering concepts first principles and analysis to connect use-case requirements to system-level requirements to component level requirements. nExperience with documenting engineering requirements with statistical data analysis tools like JMP for high volume manufacturing data with magneto-static simulations using Finite Element Analysis tools like ANSYS or COMSOL or similar.u2028nExperience leading projects independently and collaborating communicating with cross-functional implementing behavioral models of sensing system signal chains in tools like Matlab or Python or similar to interrogate performance.
