Port Captain

Position Summary:
The Port Captain is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our vessels and crews. This position plays a key leadership role in ensuring compliance with USCG regulations overseeing maintenance managing day-to-day logistics and supporting internal operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day vessel operations and crew schedules
• Supervise and support captains and deckhands
• Ensure compliance with all USCG and company safety regulations
• Oversee routine and corrective maintenance of vessels
• Conduct safety drills crew training and performance evaluations
• Coordinate with clients and office staff to ensure reliable service delivery
• Represent the company in operational meetings with regulatory agencies and with clients

Qualifications:

• Valid USCG license; Master of Towing Vessels endorsement
  strongly preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience operating towing or small passenger vessels
• In-depth knowledge of vessel maintenance and USCG compliance
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Familiarity with San Francisco Bay and local maritime operations
• TWIC and valid Drivers License required
