Full Time 80 Hours per pay period Night shift
Sunday-Tuesday 6:30pm-7:30am

Position Summary:
Performs duties under the general supervision of the sleep center licensed physician and under the direct supervision of a registered polysomnographic technologist.
- Performs all modalities of polysomnography including but not limited to: scoring seizure hook up rapid eye movement sleep behavior disorder (RBD) maintenance of wakefulness test (MWT) home sleep apnea test (HSAT) and multiple sleep latency test (MSLT) in the laboratory.
- Performs difficult or unusual procedures (e.g. complex sleep apnea RDB positive air pressure (PAP) titration seizure recognition etc.).
- Accurately charts and maintains appropriate paperwork for polysomnography charting.
- Follows policies procedures and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education:
None specified; however must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.

Licensure Requirement:
Must have and maintain CPR certification; must have proof of completion of an polysomnographic education program accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP); must possess a temporary permit issued by the State of Tennessee as a polysomnographic technician at time of hire; must obtain and maintain registry by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) within one (1) year from completion of an accredited education program.
