Job Summary
Milacron is looking for a Polisher to join our team in McPherson KS! The Polisher is responsible for the set-up and operation on a variety of machinery to produce a large assortment of parts or finishes often of a complex nature. Must apply knowledge of mechanics shop mathematics and machining Youll Do:Verify correct product using job traveler to set-up and operate a variety of machinery to blueprint specifications reading part drawing with sectional specified micro finishes; polish to form sharp corners hold specified limits on I.D. using deburring tools with special cutters on a variety of production machine performance and perform preventative maintenance to assure continuity of inventory levels and report low levels and discrepancies to independently; assist and train less experienced machinists to maintain plant standards in areas of safety quality delivery cost 5S housekeeping teamwork and personal leadership; actively participate in or lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts recommend improvements for area product and flexibility when confronted with high stress or emergency situations priority changes or new professionally when interacting with customers and other duties as assigned by :High school diploma or GEDTechnical school with certificate is preferred1 years of related experience
