Job Summary
Position Summary: This customer service position writes miscellaneous police reports processes bond papers receives payments handles phone and in-person inquiries and performs general office duties. Enters and edits data into a computer terminal and might becross-trained in other areas of the police records unit. Trained in the areas of Mules and NCIC terminal information and performs related duties. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED with one year clerical or customer service experience preferred in a law enforcement agency. Selected applicants will be asked to take a computer and typing test (minimum 35 wpm). Ability to pass a written examination of the Missouri Sunshine Laws NIMS level training and Mules within first 6 months of hire. Physical Working Conditions: Hand dexterity for office machine operation. Frequent sitting for extended periods. Minimal stooping or bending to files and Working Conditions: Staff perform daily work at a secure desk in a public lobby and should expect interactions with various citizens.
