Job Summary

Advanced Foot & Ankle Center is a leading podiatry practice in Utah dedicated to helping people of all ages and lifestyles get back to enjoying the activities they love. Advanced Foot & Ankle Center is looking for a Podiatrist to join our team to help support our volume in our Utah county office. Advanced Foot & Ankle Center is a proud partner of Balance Health the largest majority podiatrist owned practice in the country and the nations premier comprehensive lower-extremity focused Physician-Owned Practice.


Essential Functions

  • Examine patients legs and feet to diagnose diseases
  • Treat bone muscle and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles
  • Perform surgery
  • Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories physical examinations x-rays and laboratory test results
  • Prescribes medications corrective devices physical therapy or surgery
  • Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems
  • Provide education/consultation to patients family and health care team
  • Provide health promotion and preventive medicine
  • Perform wound care management as needed
  • Maintain appropriate medical records on assigned patients
Requirements
  • Ability to observe assess and record symptoms reactions and progress
  • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
  • Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries diseases and deformities
  • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient colleague and vendor population
  • Be proficient with computers and have experience with Microsoft Word Excel EMR database

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years professional experience preferred
  • Current License as a Podiatrist in the State of Utah
  • Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School of Podiatry
  • Completion of an accredited podiatric residency program
