Job Summary
Advanced Foot & Ankle Center is a leading podiatry practice in Utah dedicated to helping people of all ages and lifestyles get back to enjoying the activities they love. Advanced Foot & Ankle Center is looking for a Podiatrist to join our team to help support our volume in our Utah county office. Essential Functions
- Examine patients legs and feet to diagnose diseases
- Treat bone muscle and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles
- Perform surgery
- Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories physical examinations x-rays and laboratory test results
- Prescribes medications corrective devices physical therapy or surgery
- Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems
- Provide education/consultation to patients family and health care team
- Provide health promotion and preventive medicine
- Perform wound care management as needed
- Maintain appropriate medical records on assigned patients
- Ability to observe assess and record symptoms reactions and progress
- Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
- Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries diseases and deformities
- Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient colleague and vendor population
- Be proficient with computers and have experience with Microsoft Word Excel EMR database
Education and Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years professional experience preferred
- Current License as a Podiatrist in the State of Utah
- Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School of Podiatry
- Completion of an accredited podiatric residency program
