Job SummarySTAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a P&O Generalist on behalf of our client in Shelton CT.
We are seeking a dynamic Human Resources professional to support a multi-site workforce and serve as a trusted partner to employees and leadership. This role is responsible for managing key HR functions across the employee lifecycle with a strong focus on employee relations benefits administration compliance policy interpretation investigations and HR operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting blue-collar workforces within transportation logistics manufacturing warehousing or similar operational environments and will be comfortable working directly with frontline employees and managers.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR policies procedures and employee relations matters.
- Conduct employee relations investigations and assist with conflict resolution corrective actions and workplace concerns.
- Administer employee benefits programs and support annual open enrollment processes.
- Partner with managers to ensure consistent application of company policies and employment practices.
- Maintain compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist with onboarding activities new hire orientations and employee lifecycle processes.
- Support performance management initiatives and employee development programs.
- Maintain accurate HR records employee files and HRIS data.
- Generate HR reports and perform workforce data analysis to support business decisions.
- Participate in recruitment and interview processes as needed.
- Assist with unemployment claims audits and compliance-related activities.
- Deliver training and guidance to managers and employees on HR-related topics.
- Travel to various company locations to support employees and business operations.
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources with a strong focus on:
- Employee Relations
- Workplace Investigations
- Benefits Administration
- HR Compliance
- Experience supporting blue-collar operational manufacturing logistics transportation warehouse or similar work environments.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
- Strong communication interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel Word and Outlook.
- Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to travel regularly to support multiple locations.
- Valid Drivers License.
- Experience within transportation trucking logistics distribution or manufacturing industries.
- Experience supporting multi-site or multi-state operations.
- Experience with HRIS platforms preferably ADP Workforce Now.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
