Job Summary

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a P&O Generalist on behalf of our client in Shelton CT.

We are seeking a dynamic Human Resources professional to support a multi-site workforce and serve as a trusted partner to employees and leadership. This role is responsible for managing key HR functions across the employee lifecycle with a strong focus on employee relations benefits administration compliance policy interpretation investigations and HR operations.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting blue-collar workforces within transportation logistics manufacturing warehousing or similar operational environments and will be comfortable working directly with frontline employees and managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR policies procedures and employee relations matters.
  • Conduct employee relations investigations and assist with conflict resolution corrective actions and workplace concerns.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and support annual open enrollment processes.
  • Partner with managers to ensure consistent application of company policies and employment practices.
  • Maintain compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist with onboarding activities new hire orientations and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Support performance management initiatives and employee development programs.
  • Maintain accurate HR records employee files and HRIS data.
  • Generate HR reports and perform workforce data analysis to support business decisions.
  • Participate in recruitment and interview processes as needed.
  • Assist with unemployment claims audits and compliance-related activities.
  • Deliver training and guidance to managers and employees on HR-related topics.
  • Travel to various company locations to support employees and business operations.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources with a strong focus on:
    • Employee Relations
    • Workplace Investigations
    • Benefits Administration
    • HR Compliance
  • Experience supporting blue-collar operational manufacturing logistics transportation warehouse or similar work environments.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong communication interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel Word and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to travel regularly to support multiple locations.
  • Valid Drivers License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within transportation trucking logistics distribution or manufacturing industries.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or multi-state operations.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms preferably ADP Workforce Now.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
